MISSION

The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Harrisburg’s mission is to eliminate blighting conditions that inhibit neighborhood reinvestment, to foster and promote sustainable neighborhood revitalization and urban renewal, and to facilitate new business and housing development.  Toward that end, the Redevelopment Authority:

  • Prepares and implements comprehensive redevelopment plans
  • Assembles real estate for redevelopment
  • Is empowered to borrow money, issue bonds and make loans
  • Can condemn property (eminent domain) in furtherance of redevelopment activities

Mt Pleasant

Established in 1949, the Redevelopment Authority partners with the City of Harrisburg’s Department of Building and Housing Development to carry out the City’s urban renewal and revitalization strategies. To achieve its goals, the Redevelopment Authority may itself redevelop real estate, but it primarily engages in public/private partnerships to leverage local, state, and federal funding for new business and housing development.

TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT

This Terms of Use Agreement (hereinafter “Agreement”) is a binding agreement between the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Harrisburg (hereinafter “HRA” “Our” “We” or “Us”) any you (hereinafter “User” “You” “Your”). These terms explain the contractual agreement between You and HRA regarding Your use of Our website (hereinafter “Website”).

We reserve the right, in Our sole discretion, to amend, modify or otherwise alter these terms at any time. Such amendments, modifications or alterations shall become effective immediately upon posting. If any of the terms of this Agreement are held to be invalid or otherwise struck down, the remaining terms shall remain in full force and effect.

Nothing herein shall be construed as making Us an agent, employer, partner or joint venturer of or with You.

This Agreement represents the entire understanding between You and Us and contains all the conditions to which this Agreement is subject and supersedes any and all prior understandings, either oral or written, respecting the within subject matters.

WE RESERVE ANY RIGHTS NOT EXPRESSLY GRANTED OR STATED IN THESE TERMS.
